At Mukkudam in Idukki, seven friends came together and launched a small hydroelectric dam at a cost of Rs 31 crore to generate 4 MW of power

Rakesh Roy, Unni S Sankar, Nitish S J, Renjini M, Faris E M, Cyriac Jose, and Rijo Joseph...

During their student days, they chased a common dream - to build their own venture in Kerala

Though their paths diverged after graduation, they kept their dream alive

When Rakesh Roy learned of Kerala approving small private hydropower projects, he recalled his native Idukki's hydro potential. Soon, the friends reunited and founded Mukkudam Electro Energy Pvt. Ltd.

Identifying an optimal location, the team set up a 10-meter tall, 29-meter long dam with attached powerhouse to generate clean electricity, diligently executing work since 2021.

With two robust turbines now active, the Mukkudam micro hydel unit produces 4 MW.  10,000 units of power is provided free to Adimali government taluk hospital

From college vision to real-world success, the friends prove that chasing dreams together can electrify lives.
