To boost a business ecosystem in the state, Kerala government has allocated Rs four crore to the scheme called “One Family One Enterprise” through which the government primarily aims to help woman members in each family to set up an enterprise.
A latest government order said an amount of Rs four crore has been earmarked for effective implementation of the scheme in the state. “The scheme is being rolled out as per the government’s decision to facilitate setting up of one lakh Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in 2022-23. ‘One Family, One Enterprise’ will encourage entrepreneurial activity in every household and empower women entrepreneurship,” said officials of the industries department.
The scheme aims at providing assistance in the early stage of establishment of the enterprise to enhance its competency and to provide interest subvention on Term loan and/or Working capital loan availed by the MSMEs. As per the guidelines, the units engaged in manufacturing, service and trading are eligible for the assistance. Fifty percent of the beneficiaries under the scheme shall be women entrepreneurs.
