Kerala to conduct job fairs exclusively for women

As part of providing employment opportunities for educated women in the private sector, Kerala government will conduct job fairs across the state exclusively for women.

To begin with, Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission in collaboration with Ernakulam district panchayat and Kudumbashree is organising such a job fair to provide more employment opportunities to educated women in the private sector. The job fair will be held at Kalady Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology on February17 from 8 am.

Women candidates who have registered through Knowledge Mission’s Digital Workforce Management portal can attend the job fair. According to officials, those candidates who have not yet registered can register in the portal now to attend the fair. “We have also arranged spot registration at the venue to help the candidates,” said Kudumbashree District Mission Coordinator T M Regina. She said employers from within and outside the district will participate in the fair to recruit aspiring candidates.

Candidates can also register by downloading DWMS (Digital Workforce Management System) app from Google Play Store and filling in the required details. Employers participating in the fair should also register on the DWMS portal / app. Employers interested in participating in the fair can contact kshreekdisc.ekm@gmail.com for more details.

Candidates can contact the Kudumbashree District Mission Office at Kakkanad Civil Station or the Community Ambassadors at the Kudumbashree CDS Office in the respective local self-government bodies for more information about the job fair and registration.
