Malayalees are known for making their mark in global cinema and literature, but one quiet achiever has been consistently conquering something far rarer: making it into the list of the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University-Elsevier for five consecutive years.
Yes, 41-year-old Dr Sreeraj Gopi, Founder & Managing Director, Molecules Biolabs, has made it into the list of top 2% scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier for the fifth consecutive year.
Born into a humble family at Koratty in Kerala, Sreeraj rose to become a reputed scientist in the world, chasing his love for chemistry. Though he did his schooling at a Malayalam medium government school in his village, his desire to make it big in the world of chemistry took him to Madras Christian College, where he did his master’s in science. Later, he did his PhD at Gdańsk University of Technology and Deakin University, Australia.
After working as a researcher in different multinational companies, he returned to his native village, where he set up his company Molecules Biolabs to undertake research and development in advanced drug delivery systems, nutraceuticals, and functional health innovations.
“I am happy that I could make it into the top list of Stanford University-Elsevier consecutively. I am even happier about our mission to deliver scientific results that are beneficial for humankind,” said Dr Sreeraj.
By being included in this list, the scientists receive global recognition for advancing knowledge and influencing their scientific communities.
The list highlights the world’s leading scientists who have made a substantial impact in their respective fields through their citation influence.
Dr Sreeraj Gopi made it to the list for his industry-led research that is translated into practical innovations positively impacting millions of lives.
