A Malappuram native woman is showing the world how women can juggle roles even in the midst of busy work schedule. Nabsha Mujeeb is taking care of her three-month-old child even while discharging her duty as a volunteer at the venue of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Nabsha Mujeeb, who is a teacher in Qatar, is one of the team leaders in the media centre accreditation division of the FIFA World Cup and she has been coming for the work carrying her baby.
Her commitment to the work has won her praise from various corners. It’s her passion for the game that made her voluntarily take up the job at the world cup venue though many criticised her for going to work with her baby. “I was not ready to say no to such an opportunity. Many dissuaded me,” Nabsha told a Malayalam news channel.
It was in 2021, Nabsha, then a mother of two, started the volunteer work for the World Cup. She used to find time for volunteer work after her school hours. It was during this work she came to know that she was carrying her third child. But she didn’t stop her work. She managed to overcome pregnancy-related health issues with the support of her husband and the other two children.
She joined work after her delivery. Her husband joins her at the venue after his work hours to take care of the child.
Her decision to bring her baby to the work space has grabbed attention in the wake of a debate over Pathanamthitta collector Divya S Iyer bringing her son to a public function in Kerala recently.
