It’s official! Malayalam actor Mohanlal has joined the sets of Nelson Dilipkumar directorial ‘Jailer’, starring superstar Rajinikanth. This is the first movie of the two superstars together.
Earlier, there were reports that the Mollywood star will make a guest appearance in the film. Now with the makers of the film unveiling the first look of Mohanlal from the sets, it has been confirmed. Sharing his first look poster on social media, Sun Pictures wrote, “Lalettan @mohanlal from the sets of #Jailer.”
Trade analysts had revealed earlier that Rajinikanth and Mohanlal are shooting for Jailer in Chennai for at least two days from January 8. This will be Rajinikanth’s 169th movie.
Apart from Mohanlal, Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar will also have an important role. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan.
Music will be by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is expected to release in theatres on the occasion of Tamil New Year on April 14, 2023.
