In a significant step towards bridging the gap between students and industry, Kairali TMT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad. The partnership is aimed at providing engineering students real-world exposure and preparing them for successful careers in the steel and manufacturing sector.
The collaboration will enable students of NSS College of Engineering, one of Kerala’s premier engineering institutions to gain hands-on experience at Kairali TMT’s fully automated integrated steel plant located in Kanjikode, Palakkad. Through internships and industry training, young graduates will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while developing practical skills that complement their academic learning.
Speaking on the initiative, Kairali TMT Executive Director Humayoon Kalliyath said the partnership reflects Kairali TMT’s continued commitment to empowering youth and nurturing the next generation of engineers.
“In addition to internships, the tie-up will pave the way for identifying and recruiting talented young professionals to join the company’s workforce. We will also extend support to student-led academic projects and innovations that align with our research and development goals. By encouraging new ideas and fostering creativity, we aim to strengthen our innovation ecosystem while giving students a platform to showcase their talent,” Humayoon Kalliyath said.
The collaboration was made possible with the proactive efforts of NSS College Principal Dr. Saju N and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Prof. Dr. Vinod V, who took the lead in initiating the tie-up for the benefit of their students.
The MoU was exchanged between NSS College Principal Dr. Saju N and Kairali TMT Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdul Nazar. Kairali TMT Operations Head Thahseen Abdullah, and Human Resources Head Hijith Haridasan were also present on the occasion.
“This MoU is not just an agreement—it is a commitment to building a stronger, skilled future workforce. We believe in creating opportunities for young talent to excel and contribute meaningfully to the industry,” Humayoon Kalliyath added.
