A team of officials of the industries department led by Minister P Rajeev held discussions with the company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alok Birla for setting up a manufacturing unit of the company in Kochi at a cost of Rs 600 crore. “Swara Baby Products has evinced interest in setting up a facility in Kochi which require an investment upto Rs 600 crore. As super absorbent polymers are the main raw material for making diapers and napkins, they want a steady supply of acrylic acid from BPCL unit for manufacturing it. A senior team of officials has been tasked to provide all necessary support to the company,” Rajeev wrote in a FB post.
