Over 100 major brands will showcase their products at Kerala’s biggest “Expo 2024,” organised by Kerala Merchants’ Chamber of Commerce (KMCC) at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium from January 25 to 28. The expo, on the occasion of KMCC’s golden jubilee celebrations, promises to be a testament to the country’s vibrant business landscape, showcasing the diverse and innovative products and services offered by industry leaders.

As part of the expo, KMCC is also conducting a series of seminars and conferences on highly relevant topics like “Employee-Employer Relationship in the Changing Industrial Landscape,” “Current Business Obstacles and Future Roadmap,” and “Role of Family in Business.”  The KMCC Youth wing is also organising an insightful talk titled “The Growth Guru” on January 27 in which V Guard Industries Chairman Kochouseph Chittilappilly, Eastern Condiments Chairman Navas Meeran, Nolta Kottaram Chairman Antony Kottaram, Sporthood Co-founder Arun V Nair and EVM Managing Director Sabu Johny will share their experiences with young entrepreneurs.

KMCC President K M Mohamed Sageer said the celebration of KMCC’s Golden Jubilee holds paramount significance as it marks 50 years of unwavering advocacy for merchant rights and the initiation of numerous welfare projects. “This milestone not only reflects the organization’s enduring commitment to economic empowerment but also underscores its pivotal role in fostering a thriving business community in Kerala. The KMCC in the last 50 years has made impactful contributions to commerce, trade, and community welfare,” he added.

He said the expo was a flagship initiative by the KMCC to boost business for traders in Kerala. “It will be held in a state-of-the-art fully air-conditioned venue, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both exhibitors and visitors. The entry for the public is absolutely free, allowing a broad spectrum of people to witness different innovative products from premium brands,” he said.

The expo will serve as a platform for businesses to showcase their latest products, technologies, and services. “With over 140 major brands participating, attendees can expect a wide array of offerings ranging from consumer goods, electronic equipment, construction materials, automobiles, and farm equipment,” he said.

KMCC General Secretary Iqbal Kallelil said the expo would also feature a series of cultural events, adding a touch of entertainment and artistic flair to the celebration. “Renowned artists and performers from various fields will take the stage, providing a cultural backdrop to the commercial showcase,” he said, adding that the expo aims to bring together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and the public, fostering collaboration and showcasing the potential for growth and innovation within the Indian business ecosystem.

KMCC Youth Wing President M S Karthik said the talk, ‘The Growth Guru,’ is aimed at enabling young entrepreneurs to learn from seasoned business professionals who have succeeded in the market. ‘It will be a golden opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn from the legends,’ he said. On the occasion of the golden jubilee, KMCC is also felicitating a few young entrepreneurs who have made a mark for themselves in their respective business verticals.
