Global luxury brand Tonino Lamborghini will explore investment possibilities in Kerala mainly in the real estate sector & electric vehicles.
Tonino Lamborghini, president of the Tonino Lamborghini brand, today held discussions with Kerala’s Industries Minister P Rajeev about investment opportunities in the state. Tonino is the son of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of luxury and sports car company Lamborghini.
According to government officials, Tonino expressed his interest in setting up an electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Kerala. As per an official release issued by Kerala Government, the meeting discussed the possibility of utilising Kerala’s potential in manufacturing of electric golf carts and collaborating with reputed Kerala-based firms in marketing the Italian company’s luxury accessories like perfumes, eye wears and leather products. The Minister promised to look into his request for tax exemptions for launching assembly units for their products in the state.
Minister P Rajeev said that the government will provide all support for Tonino Lamborghini’s investment in Kerala. “We will soon have another round of discussion,” the Minister was quoted as saying. Both Tonino and his partner Angela Krieger were in Kerala to spend their vacation.
