Journalist-turned-director Manu C Kumar is all upbeat about his debut film ” Sesham Mike-il Fathima” starring Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead. As the film has completed its first half of the production schedule on time, the entire film crew is now on a fastrack mode to finish the remaining half and make it ready for release at the earliest.

The film has already garnered much attention due to its woman-centric storyline that revolves around the life of a lady football commentator of Malabar. Manu, in his latest FB post, was all praise for Kalyani Priyadarshan for putting in her best efforts to portray the protagonist Fathima.

“As an aspiring director, couldn’t have asked for a heroine with so much love and passion for the story we are trying to portray. Half way through the journey excited to get the other half done and show everyone what our Pathu is, and there no one better to portray Pathu as the way I saw it,” Manu wrote.

Kalyani Priyadarshan had to undergo lessons for mastering the special dialect of Malappuram to present the lead character. The music for the film is composed by State Award-winning composer Hesham Abdul Wahab while ‘Kabir Singh’ cinematographer Santhana Krishnan is working behind the camera.
