C Space, the first state-owned OTT platform, gets nearly 100 films

KOCHI: In a first in the country, Kerala has announced a state-owned over-the-top (OTT) platform – ‘CSpace’. The registration of films to be streamed on CSpace began on June 1.

According to reports, about 100 movies have been registered on the OTT platform. The expected date of launch of CSpace is November 1, the state formation day. CSpace is an initiative of Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) on behalf of the state government.

CSpace will allow viewers to watch a particular film by paying for it alone. The OTT platform will also showcase films with artistic value irrespective of their performance at the box office, along with internationally-recognised and award-winning films, best films screened at the annual International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), short films and documentaries.
