The Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) has achieved a record turnover of Rs 4424.80 crore in 2022-23 fiscal earning an all-time high operating profit of Rs 612.99 crore. The profit including interest and taxes stood at Rs 860.32 crore.
The FACT has registered a robust growth in 2022-23 compared to Rs 353.28 crore registered in the last financial year. As per an official statement, more than 9.83 lakh tonnes of fertilizer were shipped from FACT last financial year. Factomphos was sold at 7.42 lakh tonnes, ammonium sulphate at 2.20 lakh tonnes, and organic fertilizer at 0.20 lakh tonnes. Also 43,712 tonnes of caprolactam were sold during this period.
Factomphos production, which stood at 8.28 lakh tonnes, has gone up to 131 percent while Ammonium sulphate production was 2.45 lakh tonnes, a 109 percent rise. Caprolactam production was also at 0.44 lakh tonnes.
