One the most striking features of the first video song of the upcoming movie ‘Neelavelicham’ is the graceful moves of actor Rima Kallingal, grooving to the song ‘Anuraga Madhuchashakam’.

For those born after the 90s, ‘Anuraga Madhuchashakam’ may need some introduction. The song from the 1964 superhit movie ‘Bhargavi Nilayam’ was composed by legendary M S Baburaj, lyrics penned by P Bhaskaran and song rendered by S Janaki. The song in ‘Neelavelicham’ is recreated by Bijibal and Rex Vijayan and sung by KS Chithra.

‘Neelavelicham’ directed by Aashiq Abu, is a romantic horror drama based on the short story by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer with the same title. Basheer wrote the screenplay for Bhargavi Nilayam, which was directed by Vincent and featured Prem Nazir, Madhu and Vijaya Nirmala.
