India’s growing steel manufacturer Kairali TMT has secured a major export order for TMT bars from the Sri Lankan government. This development marks a significant milestone for the Kerala-based company, signalling its growing presence and influence beyond the domestic market.
“This export order is a significant development in the company’s decision to explore more markets abroad. Though we have exported earlier, we have taken a decision to aggressively scout for markets abroad, particularly in Asia,” said Kairali Steels and Alloys Private Limited Executive Director Humayoon Kalliyath.
“We are looking at more export orders from Sri Lanka in due course. We are delighted to have been chosen by the Sri Lankan government for their prestigious projects. We are confident that our products will meet and exceed the expectations of our clients in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan government’s decision to opt for our products underscores our reputation for delivering high-quality steel products,” Humayoon Kalliyath added.
“A team of officials from the Sri Lankan government visited our plant as part of the discussions. They appreciated our state-of-the-art production lines and the stringent quality measures we follow,” said company co-executive director Pahalisha Kalliyath.
He said the company would be focusing on exporting more of its latest Coated Plus TMT bars as they are specifically designed to withstand harsh coastal environments, and their exceptional corrosion resistance will ensure longer service life and lower maintenance costs for the infrastructure being developed in high-humid coastal areas.
“The export order highlights our commitment to innovation and sustainability. We have been investing heavily in cutting-edge technologies to develop products that are of the highest quality. Our manufacturing facility adheres to stringent quality control measures and has an annual production capacity of over 500,000 metric tonnes of TMT bars and other steel products,” he added.
“Innovation is at the core of our business ethos. Be it our unique Coated Plus technology or our specialised high-strength TMT variants, we are constantly pushing the boundaries to deliver premium steel products that offer unmatched value to our clients,” Humayoon Kalliyath said.
